Hamza joined Al-Madaniya team in 2018 and became the managing editor of Al-Madaniya. He’s a photographer and filmmaker with a background and profession in media and communications. he is a co-founder at #SupportYemen Arts Collective, where he worked on social justice, advocacy campaigns and short documentary films. He volunteered and freelanced in several countries between Middle East, East Asia and Australia, which enriched his professional experience, and character with essential, dynamic and diversified skills in storytelling, media, project management and communications. Among the organizations that he volunteered, worked and freelanced for were the Yemen Polling Center, Afro1, Deeproot, The New Arab, Arabic Post, Scicom, Human Appeal Australia, Oxfam, and British Council. He had the opportunity to be trained by the Scottish Documentary Institute and is a member of the Australian Screen Editors.
He holds a Master's Degree in Media Studies from University of Malaya.
